Post sickness into a recovery week - advice welcomed

I’m a bit conflicted and would love to get some other thoughts.

I was between two and three weeks into a new training plan (and loving the AI and ftp prediction) then I got sick. :sneezing_face:

I updated my calendar and it removed all workouts for a 6 day period (great!).

I feel 95% recovered and looking forward to resuming my training plan. However next week is all low-zone recovery workouts. I’m trying to reason the options. A) embrace recovery B) best way to ramp it back up (favoured).

Mainly interested in best way to change the recovery week for a normal week.

Thanks

I wouldn’t make it a normal week with 2 or 3 hard days. Ease yourself back in a bit instead. If you want “more" there are two ways - add volume or add intensity. Options:

A) Choose longer alternates at the same or similar IF;

and/or

B) If that feels good, consider throwing in a shortish workout on Saturday or Sunday. Just choose something that’s fun and achievable to wake the legs up and get the endorphins flowing without adding too much fatigue.
