Hey its Friday, I’ll settle for a couple minutes watching the comments and Yelpmarking another Midtown establishment
Brasserie St James
for the next trip to Reno.
I missed the name of the ‘epic race’ they mentioned - I think it was the Amstel gold from a while back? I needed a skip back 10 seconds button.
I haven’t even listened to this yet but I’m going to guess the 2019 Amstel gold race - one of the most epic finishes I’ve ever seen.
Beers With Chad and my regularly scheduled Pettit is the only reason I even know it’s Friday anymore. ![]()
Anyone link to the MTB race Chad mentioned at the start ?
And can’t believe that I didn’t know how to find an Instagram story till today
missed all the others ![]()
I’ve been watching it in google chrome on my computer, it doesn’t have the emoji features, but it does work.
Good to know. I must have done something wrong when I tried last time.
Don’t know if it’s me but I only seem to get the Instagram notification that it’s about to start just as it ends ? And the voices seem to be out of sync
Is it me ??

Yes, it was a little off this week as there was a small delay and some issues with Jonathan’s internet.
Yep; was a little choppy - but fun nonetheless!
I always thought Chad is blonde…
(Hopefully) Constructive Criticism: Beers with Chad should stay loosely cycling/working out/racing/beer related. I have been very much enjoying and looking forward to the live-stream every week, but it seems to have gone a bit off the rails a bit this week. More Chad racing stories, subtle jabs at Nate, and talk about how ugly white socks are, less talk about coco birds and muppets.
TR always asks for feedback, so hopefully this is constructive. Plus, they deserve a little hard truth for all the pain they put me through!!
On the other end of the spectrum… I think the loose format and open canvas of discussion is one reason this is a “success”. Chad is far from one-dimensional, and I see a major benefit in this being more about who he is, beyond the narrow scope of coaching and cycling under the TR umbrella.
He mentioned it in one a while back, that this is the “real stuff” (my words because I can’t remember his) that shapes people getting to know each other. Sure, much is between him and the host, but we are all getting some great insight that is totally absent in the AACCPC.
The silly and “off-topic” questions like parallel the life stuff of Beatles vs Elvis, Mayo vs Miracle Whip kind of topics that are the highlight of casual drinking and discussions across the world after hours. Setting boundaries on topics seems well against the initial concept behind this in the first place.
Loose and free for me, but that’s just one opinion.
I welcome the return (whenever that is) because this has been a breath of fresh air and reprieve from the typical bike and training discussion that we commonly get.
I think that @ambermalika needs a raise for the “between two ferns” setup

“Chad, how does it feel to fail at your own test?”
