Accelerating into sprints and impact on the interval

Last night did Lion Rock outdoors., Three sets of 3x5min threshold with each interval kicked off with a 15-sec sprint at 150% FTE. It takes me half the time to get to target, and then I go way past. My 15 sprint portions are running about 200-220% of FTE AP, NP about FTP.

I start accelerating into the interval right when it starts; should I be starting earlier and easing off more once I’m at the target?
