Zwift sync not working properly

I seem to have some issues with the Zwift Sync recently. Workouts didn’t show up in the “for you” part on the home screen or the trainerroad part in custom workouts.

I can fix it by unsyncing then syncing again on the website or the TR desktop app. Then it works for the workout for today. But the next workout a few days later its gone again.

For example;
Thursday it didnt work > unsync, sync > workout showed up
Saturday it didnt work, had to do the same.
Sunday it didnt work, had to do the same.

It used to work perfectly.. has anything changed or am I just unlucky? Permissions etc seem fine as well.

Workout sync only on a daily basis now. So future workouts won’t sync to Zwift until day of.

Yes but that’s not what I mean. The thing is, it doesn’t sync on the day itself.

So I had a workout planned on saturday. It was saturday. Nothing showed up until I desynced-resynced. (literally go to connections, disconnect zwift, reconnect zwift).

Had the same issue over the weekend. Workout didn’t show up, couldn’t get it to load. Didnt break the connection but tried a bunch of other things.

Opened a ticket yesterday about it and they were able to do something on the back end and have it there this morning.

If it’s only loading that days workout that’s tough to go with if there are still issues with things not showing up in Zwift.

The Zwift TR community on the companion app appears to have a number of people with the issue this morning.

This happened to me last night as well. Had to re sync the connections. Not sure if it’s a TR issue or zwift, just adding my voice to the crowd so someone sees it might be a pervasive issue.

Have they shared anything on Zwift’s side? I know they the connectivity issues have been from their side lately, but I will bring this up with our team.

FWIW, I have not had any issues with TR workouts syncing to Zwift.

yesterday it worked normally again. Just seemed to be a weekend glitch

We tracked down the issue that was affecting people over the weekend.

It gets a bit tricky because the way we sync workouts has changed and in some cases that has been perceived as a bug, meanwhile an actual bug has been in the works, hehe.

The way sync has changed: We used to sync workouts days in advance. This was confusing because in some cases it wasn’t clear which workout was today’s workout. This was made more confusing when TrainerRoad AI launched as the workouts you do in the future are more dependent upon today’s workout, and thus are subject to change.

Now we just sync today’s workout only to simplify and clarify.

Where some people have perceived this as a bug is when they do today’s (ie: April 1) workout but then don’t yet see tomorrow’s (April 2) workout in Zwift.

If you find yourself in this scenario, just know that you’ll see the April 2 workout until April 2.

I had this issue this morning, 4:30 am MTN. The Zwift sync icon was "loading” on the TR side, but the corresponding workout was not available in Zwift. I did not try to disconnect/reconnect my account (as it was 4:30am). The workout was Snowshoe Fire, if thats helpful.

Thanks for the report. An engineer is looking into your activity to make sure that doesn’t happen again.

This happened again this morning. Zwift icon “loading” on the TR side, but not available in Zwift. @SeanHurley Happy to provide any other details, if needed.
