Advice for weight loss

Hello all Looking to loose some weight to improve my overall speed on the road. Im a heavy rider at 95kg and 6 foot 2. I wouldn’t mind being about 90kg as a new goal weight, my question is I’m currently training for a gran fondo using the plan builder which is probably going to be cancelled due to the current situation. Would I be better on a different plan focused more on weight loss than FTP building? Any advice would be great.

Experiment Fasted Training

This experiment is based on Dr. Jason Fung. and his 3 books. So Ive tried fasting for a while now and have done 6.5 days 3 times. My definition of a fast is nothing but liquids mainly water, club soda or sparkling water. It is not a complete fast because I take in around 100 calories a day using electrolyte tables and the like. Fueling Long Ride and Weight Loss

Hello all I am currently doing a build phase and about 4 weeks in, my current training consists of 3 build workouts a week, 1 hour long endurance ride and a long ride on a Sunday. I’m still trying to shed a few KGs while training and riding, I fuel at the moment with about 60g of carbs an hour, after listening to the recent podcast they mentioned the need for 100/120g of carbs an hour I understand this is when racing but would this be applicable for a weekend 3 hour ride and would this affect w…

Weight loss accountability buddy or thread discussion

Does anyone think this would work for them? Or perhaps an accountability thread as a whole. Personally I have let my weight creep up to the point where I am in the overweight BMI category and know exactly what I need to do to lose it, I just need to stick with it. I’m aware that at this point my weight is becoming a limiting factor on my performance.
