Yeah, they added it a month or two ago. Makes life so much easier now!!
MTB section has been added to GCN, with all of the upcoming races loaded. Really hope they do this well.

Yeah, a step forward. Though I use a laptop to watch stuff with TR on my phone anyway.
fwiw Picture in picture being enabled is often a video owner rights / weird hangups thing rather than anything technical - you get it for free if you’re doing video stuff in a sensible way on both iOS & Android.
The one thing I will say for GCN (and have said on multiple social media threads on app/Instagram/etc) that the support for captions is terrible.
None of the pre recorded racing news shows have them, on the android app I’ve had documentaries out of sync with captions, some without captions until messaging them, and I’ve had a ticket open since October for captions on Samsung TVs.
They keep saying how cycling needs to be inclusive but as with many other video sites being deaf gets forgotten.
Adding captions to pre recorded media is unbelievably simple to do and it’s rediculous how often it gets forgotten.

- Multiple tickets open, and older closed ones.
- Instagram, for example when advertising the racing news show
- Gcn app when asked for questions of the week
- Twitter including trying to get a response for the open tickets
In some cases I’ve tagged people like Dan Lloyd since he was presenting the racing news show. I don’t really expect a reply from him but you never know. You’ve actually reminded me to chase up the tickets (again).
If you have any other ideas I’m open to hearing them (pun entirely intended) as better captions would help my gf enjoy shows more.

I’d say yes (also in the UK) with the caveat that if you need captions you’ll be stuck in some cases unless you use Chrome with its own caption options.

In short:
- app is a bit glitchy but has improved
- the breath of coverage is outstanding
- the possibility to rewatch a full race or different highlight packages (for bigger races) is excellent
- the commentary and analysis is decent
- the extra films etc are ok
- the value is remarkable compared to most ‘content’

It’s pretty good. The racing coverage can be hit or miss. i was watching Tour De Romandie and there was no commentary at all…weird, Generally coverage is good. The documentaries and other articles are good for passing time, At $60? a year, i would say it’s good value.

Tour of Romandie definitely had commentary. Depending on which device you watch it on the “Ambient” soundtrack will get selected. Every time I watch on my APpleTV i have to go select English from the list of a dozen or so different languages.

Yup, this seems to be a frequent thing with Apple TV. The ambient soundtrack will be selected by default.

I went for it in the end. Mainly for the MTB but love the extended highlights on the road coverage too 
Same, just signed up yesterday with a 15% discount. I guess $45 a year isn’t much considering.

We all regularly drop similar amounts on dumber cycling-related stuff is my rationalization. 
Honestly, the dollar to entertainment value is ridiculous for GCN….I honestly can’t think of a better value out there.

Just got GCN+ to watch the Giro d’italia in New Zealand as Sky TV have lost the rights for the 1st time that i recall. Very happy with the content, and I’m catching up on some other racing that wasn’t screened here also!
