For the last 1,5 weeks I’ve been riding outdoors, as the weather has been mostly amazing here. I have been doing the planned workouts, and have mostly been able to keep the consistency on the training. I still got three sessions of build this week, before the recovery week up next week. Looking forward to seeing where the outdoor riding has put me on the next ramp test.
Also Dade +1 here this morning before breakfast. First bail-out since I started with TR at the beginning of March, which feels horrible.
I felt like garbage even before jumping on the trainer at 5:30 after 3h of interrupted sleep. The nights prior were not much better. After the warm-up intervals I knew I was not going to make it. On top of that I had some irritating issues with my Flux, constant power drops (3-4 seconds each), some of them are easy to notice on the graph. Never happened before. I dropped intensity to 95% on the 2nd set but there was already not much to be saved tbh. So I decided to call it a day since trying to hang miserably wouldn’t do any good. Btw I don’t think doing V02max workout fasted helped. At least there is a lesson to be drawn from all this.
I’m seeing the same drop’s with my Flux S.

Switched to the mobile app and no problem now. So maybe a Windows Update or Win10 TR app update what is causing this issue ?
No clue, honestly. I run TR via App. Today I was also recording the w/o with the Garmin and the HR strip paired to it. I thought this could be the cause and turned off the Garmin, but it stayed the same.
I don’t think it’s a belt issue (in your case neither) since the drops happened equally during high and low power. It must be some sort of electronic/pairing thing I guess.
Should have been Volunteer this morning but, I couldn’t bring myself to get on the trainer for 30 minutes.
This was in the same effort ballpark and it felt good ![]()
come on, don’t be so hard on yourself. you showed up and did 5 vo2 intervals despite feeling like sht. learn from the experience and either skip, postpone or supplemend it with an easy Z2 workout. you got this
An hour of sweet spot today watching the rain pour down outside. Miserable British weather. Onwards.
Mt Hale.
Was pretty happy when getting through the first interval about the fact that I was able to do a couple extra minutes over last week’s Washington +4 (which I thought was absolutely brutal and could barely finish each interval).
Coming up to 3 mins left on the second interval I felt SO COOKED and thinking ‘how the **** am I going to get through the remaining 2 intervals’. Sucked it up and continue to bury myself… and I felt something just click in the last 30-40 seconds of this interval - like my body had this previously-unused reserve that I was able to tap into to finish the interval.
2nd and 3rd intervals were easier than the first 2.
Sometimes you just gotta dig deep, and your body will find a way to hack itself.
Guys, thank you for sharing your results, it motivates me to workouts. It’s time to bring sports back into my life. I admit that I was lazy in quarantine. The gyms were closed, and I couldn’t bring myself to train at home. So I spent my days watching Netflix, football games, and eating pizza. A couple of months ago, I worked hard in the gym, took a course of steroids, and waited for great results. And then I messed it up. So I want to go back to the enhanced training mode. Thus, I decided to use Sarms for muscle growth and performance improvement. Here steroidcycle.org I read about Sarms that they are an alternative to steroids and don’t have side effects. If someone has had such an experience, please share your feedback.

Fun times. (Good weather but my rear wheel’s in the shop)
Almost done with this Build, feels great!
This about wraps up the TR portion of my recovery week. Lets see if I can keep my weekend workouts under control ![]()
Miserable weather in Poland. So recovery ride was done inside, sunny Bruges for me
I just can’t seem to help myself on those tiny climbs. Too lazy to downshift, i just sprint up instead.
Weather in Wroclaw today is perfect for some Z2 inside ![]()
Indeed, the road will have to wait a bit longer to be graced by my presence ![]()
Edit: grammar
Junction -1. Manageable but brutal
Thats a hard workout! Great job!
Well at the end of build would have thought this would be easy…
First drop was cause my computer charger was unplugged and my computer battery died. Second drop was cause my internal batter was about to die ![]()
Maybe FTP is set too high? Did not think HR was supposed to get so high in SS…
And yes I have good cooling…
Is that with the biscuits (cookies) just out of reach? ![]()

Anyway, did Donner yesterday. I’d kept my old FTP rather than drop it. Probably just as well as the first two blocks were really easy so I bumped the intensity for the third by 3% and still didn’t really struggle, I could probably have bumped it by 5%. Got Clark later today.
