What workout did you do today? (2018/2019)

Carpathian Peak +3 tomorrow.

3x20min Over-Unders. Seriously?!

That ‘-’ button is going to get a better workout than I am!

Whiteface this morning.

I found this pretty tough and the trainer was playing up a bit this morning. That said, it’s a good session and those 15 second breaks keep it feeling nice and surgy, much like a crit.

Kern -5 today, far too hot and humid for the trainer really, and spent more time setting up and breaking down that I did riding!

Boarstone - recovery week lined up with some holiday traveling - legs are appreciating it, although doing this fasted did make it a bit harder than it would’ve been otherwise

Last week of SSBII, 1/3 down

Pettit -1. I did not curse Chad after this one.

LACTATE B GONE!!! :boom:

Carpathian Peak +3

I took out those annoying ramps and turned it into a 3x20min 2x2min O/U workout.

I did these last spring and my legs felt like they were being dipped in lava…or probably just acid…so was not looking forward to this session. But to my total surprise there was no complete collapse or even back-pedalling. There wasn’t even the familiar enjoyment of pain scorching through my thighs. Hammered it out and went to dinner. :neutral_face:

My previous O/U workouts 7-8 weeks ago (Palisade & Leconte) were terrible; completed but completely wasted. But blew apart in Fang Mt. 2 weeks ago. Could I actually be getting better at all the lactate junk?? :man_shrugging:

Either that or:
i) I undershot my last ramp test 2 weeks ago (lowish FTP);
ii) something is wrong with all my equipment;
iii) Double Day December is really starting to pay off;
iiii) it’s all a dream…

Survey says…!!!

I’m in my 4th week of TR. Started with Time Crunched 30. Did Black Giant -5 tonight, which was the easiest workout I’ve done. I start SSB LVI in 2 weeks which has me a little nervous! I plan on swapping out Tu or Th for a group ride, but want to see if a little structure to my rides can give me a boost.

I’m in the middle of SSBMVII… first up Spencer, I felt good in my legs and pushed it up 5% for the last segment with no real trouble. Got the (old?) Leconte Kaiser and Mary Austin coming up the next two weeks, it will hurt but hopefully make me faster. Also gotta burn that xmas food somehow.

Uh, dude…if you’re crushing Black Giant you’re going to have no problem with SSBLV. :+1:

My thoughts exactly!

Easy half-an-hour test spin with a new handbike yesterday evening. Still work to do with the sitting position, but usable. Now I just want to get rid of this flu to be able to start training with the bike!

I did Gendarme +1 yesterday evening. It’s substituted those longer Vo2 max workouts as a part of the plan rejigs. Felt the burn much more in my quads and my calves are so achy this morning, but i found this workout much more manageable than the longer Vo2 max stuff. Top banana.

I did Huffaker -4 as I was pushed for time and couldn’t do the prescribed 1hr workout.
Same work but in 15 mins less time :fearful:

A gentle spin through West Vidette. Supposed to be doing SSB2 LV wk5 but feel a bit under the weather so figured discretion was indeed the better part of valor.

Good job!

After a long day at work didnt feel fresh… last intervall was really hard. Nevertheless satisfied.

note to self - avoid this workout

My fingers would be hurting after that session from all the percentage reductions I’d be making!

Spencer last night and bailed on the 4th internal too little sleep and too much work stress, warmed down with West Vidette -1 m
