Wasn’t feeling 100% so I quit before the 3rd set of intervals. Going to do another ride tonight to make up for what I missed.
ERG mode was working really well today so it kept me honest on the ‘unders’. Tough but felt really good to complete this as prescribed.
I think you may be ok, Taylor should be a pretty doable workout if your FTP is set right. It’s more in the muscle than cardiovascular in my experience.
Force exhale! Lots!
Not massively happy that Actual doesn’t all match up with Target, but last year I couldn’t look 115% in the eye let alone 120% or 125%, so this is progress for me

Ramp test!! Rampy mc ramp face? Ignore HRM line… apparently the battery was dead! Who needs it anyway right?
I completed my scheduled Ramp Test too as well as 30 minutes of active recovery (Dans). I kept my cadence above 90 throughout the whole test and ended with a heart rate of 190 bpm. Had to get off the bike and my legs begun to shake immediately
Taylor -1 - had ramp test planned but throat is giving me grief and baby was up in the night so not in the mood for a 5 min full throttle effort. Chose something intense that I like instead, might reschedule ramp test after my next day off.
Double day for me today. Started with Carter this morning as anything above threshold doesn’t work well for me early morning. Then carter -2 this evening. Trainer struggled in erg mode so I switched to resistance but couldn’t get to 100w in the tests so was high on the TSS, IF and cals compared to target.
Gotta say the last few workouts have been the first since the end of SSB1 that have really felt like a lot of work. Maybe FTP is too high, maybe I’ve been preoccupied with life. Anyway, made it through to soldier on another day
Frissell
First day back after having to ditch the weekend rides due to a cold. Felt great to be back at it working on TT position
Glassy
Back on plan, made myself stick to it…felt the fatigue catch up with me on last interval, looking forward to a rest day tomorrow.
In before the thread lock !!
Legs in the gym on Monday and Tiehacker this evening.
Even though it’s pre-base, I like to stay in touch with VO2 and even some lower end AC work year round. For some reason, I enjoy these “mixerval” workouts with varied time of work and recovery. Some of you guys are killing it with the big threshold days.
Carillon +15min at 63%. Trying to add some zone 2 time where I can to get a bit more volume with the MV plans. This was feeling pretty easy. Week 5 of SSB1, so won’t bother adjusting FTP until after the ramp test in two weeks.
SST workout nr 22/25 in SSBSuperHV1, starting to look forward to recovery week (mostly mentally, feeling good).
56Min@93%
The full version of this workout is on the plan for Sunday but, I won’t be near my bike so I thought I’d do the slightly trimmed version today.
Really pleased with how this went. Kept the power on target, HR stayed in zone (just!), and I allowed myself one intensity drop to 97% in an effort to maintain form, which seemed to pay off.
Mid-week Carter:
Weird sensor blip at the beginning, but overall lowest heart rate yet on this one! I’m not actually sure that’s a good thing, if it’s supposed to be an aerobic endurance ride and my heart rate zone breakdown looks like this?
Flattop
Went a bit light on calorie intake and the last 20 minutes turned into a bit of a slog. Didn’t die, will get stronger.
Got Carson done.
DIdn’t get OTS because i hate it on the trainer. I did do 5 of the 6 intervals at 75rpm though so it was challenging in a different way.
Also because of some life drama, had to start REAL LATE, so my workout shows as being done “today” when i already have a recovery ride…
Ugh
Anyhow, week 4 of ssb1 MV is going alright, i’m glad i listened to the internet stranger and upped it to MV
