@iamholland I was using a smart trainer for the first time, I did not attack the power increases enough and so the cadence dropped and I failed the test @mcneese.chad posted a video about using a smart trainer which explains the issue I faced here To PowerMatch or not to PowerMatch?
Connection issues⌠got annoyed and cut session short⌠reset and did 15 minutes tempo after thisâŚ
Start of SSB 2 and Ebbetts. For the first time I attempted the sprints and much to my surprise, I hit them all, there or there abouts. Really pleased with this session.
78Min of 93% SST work. Forgot to put on fan until last 30mins
Only 320Min of SST work left this week in SSBSuperHV1 and then recovery week
The minute of rest in the middle of the intervals just taunts me. Here you go, take it easy, have a little break JUST KIDDING SLAM IT
This is week 5 of SSBMVI, following a full TR BBS cycle that included quite a lot of sweet spot, so at this point youâd think Iâd be accustomed to what sweet spot feels like. Somehow it still surprises me in the morning.
Starting SSB LV I today with ramp test. This will allow me to substitute workout before rest week(happened to be 12/14) with disaster -2.
Tunnabora for me on the hybrid rollers. Skipped the ILT after the first change as it just wasnât working for me this morning. More positive n=1 study evidence of my RPE with a carb drink mix on the drive in rather than just water.
Second week of SSB MV2, Taylor -2:
This was actually yesterday, it was scheduled for today but Iâm travelling today. It was much more forgiving at the dropped FTP (max HR 169 vs 180) than when I did it three weeks ago with 248 FTP. I think it may have been a bit too easy - but Disaster is coming so Iâm not inclined to retest.
I am tired just looking at the workout frankly amazing, not only the workout but also your training in the carrerâŚ
, how can you check my other workouts? Strava link, or is there a way to see peoples trainerroad account?.
Just swap out your own username with another within the browsers URLâŚ
As far as I know you can make your account private within your account profile to stop thisâŚ
Thanks, i got nothing to hide though
I was worried about doing VO2 work, but I seem to have the knack for it. My HR was much lower than it should have been - I think I might have underperformed on the ramp.
A couple of annoying dropouts but overall really enjoyed it.
This one was certainly on my radar due to the power profiles, it was a lot better than I envisaged but my legs are feeling it from this mornings effort.
Heads up, but I realized it might be a good idea to split this thread up. Iâm planning to have one of these for each year, to keep their size more manageable to scroll instead of having one massive thread.
I will rename this original one the 2018 version. Then I can split all the 2019 entries into a parallel thread. And we can start a fresh one for 2020 on Jan 1. Each post will be located in the thread for the year it was done.
Does this sound OK?
Pettit
Man, this was hard. Easily the worst ride from previous 5 weeks.
I donât know why I struggle on Z2 rides.
Everyoneâs fav: BAXTER : D
Manually bumped up my FTP by 2% after yesterdayâs workout. This was consequently harder, but still manageable.
Also did 2x car snow clearing and 1x driveway shoveling. Any snow shovel power meters released yet?
yes sounds good!!
Well, I seem to be hitting some errors in trying to split this topic.
This thread is not too bad, since it only has workouts from the last quarter of 2018, but I had hopped to keep it to calendar year.
I labeled this the 2018/2019 thread and just plan to make the new one for 2020 when the time comes for that.
