What workout did you do today? (2018/2019)

Nope, the PowerMatch between Beta and Production should be identical. If this becomes a regular issue, I would recommend reaching out to our Support Team so that they can take a look at your logs and see exactly what is going on here. You can reach them at support@trainerroad.com.

One tip that can help your PowerMatch accuracy is using an easier gear. By using the small chainring and an intermediate cog in the back, you reduce the inertia of the freewheel, which makes it easier for your trainer to execute the ERG commands. Since PowerMatch has a lot of things going on at once, improving the ERG response takes one variable out of the mix, which tends to drastically increase performance.

Thanks @Bryce. Yes I was using small chainring. I’ll keep an eye on it and see can I replicate the weirdness with something a bit more steady state.

Echo -3 today, doing a low volume plan after listening to the podcast and deciding consistency and an extra ride outside would be better for motivation. But the weather was awful so did Echo -3 instead.

Hitting the trails tomorrow for some mountain bike skill work yo!!

I had to take a few days off after bruising my ribs after falling during last Tuesday’s cross race. I also missed this weekend’s races which I’m pretty bummed about. :slightly_frowning_face:

I’m actually just glad I didn’t break anything. The initial diagnosis was that I had fractured a rib, but luckily that was wrong and it was only a contusion. Hurt like hell for a couple of days so honestly I wasn’t sure.

Anyway, easing back into things with Bays +1 as the pain/soreness starts to go away.

threshold >400W with bursts >500W for 2 x 20 then “tired 25m” when 3,000 kj hit

Did my favorite workout, Baxter today. Also did 250 push-ups and 50 pull-ups

Easing into the week

West Vidette this morning. Not going to lie, I’m really struggling to get back into the swing of things after my break. Motivation was at an all time low on Sunday morning. So much so that I skipped the workout. I’ve not done that before.

Anyway, seeing my wife race in the local cross league in the afternoon helped to give me a kick up the butt :+1:

That was a tough one (for me)

production
Man, every workout is so hard for me, 200HR during sweet spot… questioning if my ftp is too high.

On the last ramp test I got 211, once testing in the lab I had 216.

awesome, long sweet spot efforts are a big booster!

I did Dade +5 today, first vo2 workout after a small bump in FTP. extended the endurance ride at the end to bank some endurance work

Ramp Test kicking off SSBMV1. Three ish weeks off the bike, and two weeks unstructured prior to that, lost 8% of FTP and gained about 2kg. Still 17W higher than last season, and at 3.45W/kg, up from 3.29 start of last season. Onward!

I was doing Eclipse. Found out Im not recovered from Sundays Crits. Few ligament niggles as well. Although not ideal, I will do another aerobic session tonight.

Rest week! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Volunteer, plus 1.6miles run at lunch, and 2 miles with my son when I got home

Right, time to get things moving again.

Ericsson + Endurance this morning. This felt much more like it. HR was slightly elevated but only by 2/3 beats so that’ll come down soon enough. Actually enjoyed this more than I thought I would :+1:
