What Bar Tape Do You Really Like?

:flushed: I never ride indoors without some sort of protection for my bars and stem.

I’ve always been a “gloves on” guy when riding indoors…always. It is for moisture management more than anything else. A quick swipe of the hand is sometimes just easier than getting the towel.

I hate the feeling of damp / wet bars & hoods when riding inside…

great. I have it on my gravel bike and ride lots of rougher fire roads and singletrack. I do ride with carbon bars and I find that requires less padding. That said, I’ve had no issues on long rides. It has good grip while dry, without feeling gummy (I didnt like that about lizard skins) and when wet it keeps its grip.

Supercaz. I love how it feels. Great colors too. I run it on the road and the gravel bike.

coming from MTB I had to try ESI tape. I love it. Only been on the bike a short while but I had a need to re-wrap (dropper lever install) and it re-wraps very nicely. Not sure about durability but it’s comfy enough so far.

I have used Arundel Geko grip tape too, although I think that option might be dated.

Supacaz for me all day long. Always been a heavy sweater and don’t like wearing gloves when on long climbs. Couldn’t find anything I liked as my hands would always slip. Someone recommend Supacaz and I’ve never looked back. Also really comfortable and has that extra cool look and feel to it.

It looks awesome and, grip-wise, it feels great.

Thx, I need to try some.

I normally do as well - always draped over the stem - but if I didn’t put the towel on the bars with Fizik tape, it didn’t soak like the Supacaz does. I’m not a profuse sweater, so I can get away with it sometimes.
