Did my first real Ramp Test today. I did one last week to see how it would go. Today the secret sauce was Kidd Rock on “Make your ears rattle” volume. American Bad Ass just makes you want to suffer. Added 9 watts to last week test. Now on to SSBMV1 to really increase my FTP. Metallica should contribute to that somewhere.
Music does help. I use the same playlist for each ramp test. Have “Self-Esteem” ending just before the magic time when your new ftp gets gets a 2% bump and “When Legends Rise” to try and get a bit more out of the legs. Used to have “I can see clearly now” at the end of intervals for the 8 minute test.
