Ah thankyou for this, I recently joined Trainerroad and tried Zwift on the 10th workout, so i never actually got a suggested FTP update and had to force this manually. On the FAQ it I interpreted that FTP updates were automatic via Trainerroad app or Zwift as it said it counted towards AI FTP detection.
I have Read before on this forum that a very high Progression Level >9 in SS/TH/Vo2/Anerobic can trigger an AI FTP update early. If this doesn’t happen via Zwift, does this mean that if you are suggested a workout with a high PL that using Zwift could affect FTP updates?
I have recently done an AI FTP update and today I am suggested a Redondo +4 which is a 9.8 SS, I am probably going to do these workouts directly in TR unless i hear any different.
Edit: Just to confirm I did get an AI FTP update prompt after completing this workout directly in Trainerroad.
