We love to hear it, everyone. Thank you for your patience!
Thanks @eddie I am back and running as well! YAY!! So… my next question is should I start shopping for a new iPad… any idea how long this will be supported?
Hah! Wonderful!
If that iPad works for you for what you need it for, I wouldn’t worry.
I can’t really say how long things will be supported, but if you got it working now, I’d hope it would keep working for a while.
Do you have any other type of device to run TR on in case that one goes down? I had to finally resort to my iPhone a month or two ago, and though I’d have issues, but things worked wonderfully. ![]()
It never hurts to have a second device to use as a backup.
Hi gang, all is well for me, thanks!
I do have my iphone and a Mac which I used the other day as a backup, but I really like having the dedicated iPad for TR. did a fresh workout this morning as a test and worked ok! thanks again.
My iPad got the black screen today. Seems like it took years to get the app to load my workout. It was probably only 3 minutes but I really wanted to do those over unders.
In all seriousness, I was a bit time crunched and got a few calls that delayed me finishing.
Help! Anything to get the app to load.
Have you tried deleting the app, restarting your iPad, and then reinstalling it?
That might help to ensure you’re on the latest version without any rogue files laying around.
I will do it. Thank you.
Should I still be using TestFlight and the beta app on my iPhone? Or switch back to mainstream. I think I got another update yesterday.
I also have mainstream on my iPad.
You can use the production app. ![]()
Hi @eddie ,
I just ran into the issue with the stuck prediction / workout selection loading progress again on an iPad with the production version of the app. Any chance the issue from back then has returned?
Based on past experience, I also got a recording of the issue if there’s interest.
Is the issue persisting for you?
I can see a prediction on your calendar right now.
No, it didn’t persist. It just got stuck initially when the calendar was loaded after I finished my workout. I restarted the app and it immediately jumped forward on the prediction progress and continued until done.
Can’t tell if it will be happening again after the next workout though and believed this to be fixed after the previous reports (e.g. here). Sorry if I messed up the topics and this one was supposed to only cover the black screens
No worries!
Yeah, it sounds like the issue here in this thread hasn’t come back.
If you have another issue with your prediction, though, please let me know!
Only the problem from Slow(er) AI-Prediction and Workout selection
Which I thought to be covered here too. If that’s still an ongoing investigation, I guess I should get back on the beta app again
I know this is the new thread for fixing the problem of getting stuck loading, but I can’t post in the old thread. Is anyone having this problem? It started for me around this same time and continues to happen. I used to be able to watch YouTube and still hear the TR sounds while it ran in the background. Now, TR sounds don’t come through. Even worse, a couple times, unbeknownst to me at the moment, TR will have quit recording in the middle of the workout. Smart trainer resistance just continues at whatever power it was holding. I flip from YouTube over to TR and it’s just asking for a survey response or sitting on the career page. Thankfully, it has let me go into the workout and resume from where it dropped off, but this is obviously problematic. I’d really prefer to not have to bring two separate devices for a workout. Or is there some other issue/fix I’m missing?
Could you share the workout where this happened? I’ll then take a close look at the log to see what might have happened. ![]()
I am still having issues on iPhone and iPad both on iOS 27b3 // running TR 2026.28.0
I believe 2026.28 is in beta. Are you using the beta app?
This is yesterday’s episode. I’d have to do some digging to find the other(s), as far as the stopping recording goes. The issue of not hearing TR sounds until I swap back to TR is every workout.
When I swapped back to TR, saw the error, opened the workout, and resumed, my finishing time was about nine minutes later, so I guess it had been stopped for ~eight minutes.
