So I’ve just finished week 3 of Sustained Power Build LV and entering week 4 which is recovery week. But starting from week 5 the weekly workout TSS is dropping a lot with all workouts having ‘Achieveable’ difficulty which means no further adaptation improvement. Is this a bug? Also when I’ve finished all my week 3 workouts the adaptive training kinda stop working which give me no adaptation required. Granted I rate ‘hard’ for my vo2 and ss and ‘very hard’ for my threshold workout. Is it the cause?
Adaptations are only applied to the block you’re currently in, so this is normal.
Once you complete your recovery week and start up the next 4-week block, adaptations will be proposed to you based on your current Progression Levels.
Hope this helps clear things up – feel free to let me know if you have any other questions!
This never happen with me when I was on General Build last 2 month. Also when I preview the Sustained Build plan the workout levels and TSS keep increasing on week 5 onwards.
So you mean for my 1st workout on my 4th week it will be lower level than my last workout before recovery week, after that everything will ramp back up? Thanks for the reply!
Adaptations get applied to your plan in each 4-week block. Right now, you’re in “part one” of your Build Phase. You’re on week 4 of 4, so everything up to this point has been applied to this current 4-week block.
On Monday the 19th (next week), once you “start” the next 4-week block, Adaptive Training will “refresh” to make sure you’ve got the right workouts plugged in for your current Progression Levels.
Looking at your PLs now, I can see they’re higher than the Workout Levels currently on your TR Calendar. Once you reach the 19th and that “refresh” gets triggered, your workouts will be updated based on your current PLs. Your TSS each week will likely increase to reflect this as well.
So in other words, yes, your workouts will ramp back up.
Ah it make sense now. Thank you!
