Transitioning after finishing a plan in March: How to maintain rhythm without restarting Base?

My current training plan is scheduled to end in March. I’m looking for advice on how to arrange my schedule once it concludes.

If I decide to recreate or restart the same training plan, will the system force me to start from the Base phase again? I’ve built up good momentum and fitness, so I really want to maintain my current rhythm and intensity rather than dropping back to foundational work.

Does Adaptive Training account for my current level if I restart a plan, or should I manually look into a Build/Specialty phase to keep the progress going?

Thanks for the help!

We typically recommend using full-length plans rather than individual training phases.

Our General Base phases aren’t the same as traditional base, so returning to base training in TR isn’t going to detrain you like it would if you went back to a traditional base phase. There is plenty of intensity via Sweet Spot and Threshold workouts to keep things moving.

With that being said, there are ways to put plans in place that don’t include base phases. I believe if you create a goal-based plan that is two months long, we’ll schedule Build and Specialty phases only. :+1:
