TrainTomorrow Feature?

I find myself frequently wanting to use TrainNow to schedule a workout for the next day so that I can plan fueling, music, etc for an early morning session before I go to bed. Is there any way to do this right now?

Agreed, this seems like a simple add that I would use regularly.

At least on the mobile app you just click on the workout presented by TrainNow and it has a schedule button

The problem is that it recommends a workout appropriate for today and not tomorrow. If I’m on a yellow day, it will give me a recovery ride even though I could do something more productive the next day.

A workaround is to change your timezone to something like 5 hours later than where you’re actually located. Shouldn’t have a meaningful change on your use of TrainNow to train now, but should be work to use if you’re scheduling a morning ride the night before.

Has been requested here in 2022 and here in 2024. To no avail.

Hey @BartH  I’ll pass your feature request.

A potential workaround would be to see what TrainNow is recommending you to do today and then manually apply that workout on your Calendar for the following day. I also like what @ponam45 is doing of selecting it the night before closing to morning time!

Yep. I was one of those who seconded the request in that 2024 thread. Back then Caro.Gomez-Villafane TrainerRoad Team said,

“Hey @Nightnale

This is great feedback! I will pass it along.”

The good thing is that the most requests something gets, the more attention it can get

I think I’ve suggested it in 2025 as well…. Or maybe time really does fly.

Yes, would be great to pick a future date and time and get the TrainNow recommendation (assuming no other training between now and then).

For example, I train on Tuesday evening and after I am done I can immediately determine my next workout for Thursday night. Do I “need” to know it right away? No. But it’s nice to know what is coming (without the longer term planning of a full plan).

Yes! Totally see what you’re trying to achieve. Im with ya

I would also for to see this.

I agree. I have had the same thoughts since Train Now emerged. My workouts are early in the a.m. and prepare .myself the night befote.

Count me in. Workouts generally start for me between 0330-0430. Fewer steps to get started is better.

How different is your prep for different workouts assuming workout time is the same? I get maybe for a an hour Zone 2 maybe you just have some water rather than fuel.

Definitely a feature I’d find useful.

For sweet spot for instance I would queue up Premier League match highlights from the weekend. Whereas for a VO2 workout, there’s no way I could focus on that. So, I’d queue up some MTB shreddits.

For more challenging workouts, typically a piece of bread with peanut butter and jelly. My H2O bottle has a Nuun electrolyte tablet and sometimes a little bit of added honey. I always drink a full cup of coffee before starting the workout. Typically I’m on the bike 45 minutes after awakening.

Slacker :winking_face_with_tongue:. I’m 20 minutes for indoor rides.
