Is there any workaround to get TrainerRoad’s future workouts to show up in Training Peaks? I would love to be able to use the more detailed training tools in Training Peaks along side TrainerRaod. Not having this integration is super limited.
I don’t think this is possible at the moment.
What are you to do in TP that you can’t do in TR?
I’m not the OP, but it’d be great to be able to sync 28 days out from TrainingPeaks as opposed to the 2-3 that it does now, although that might be a restriction on their side. (E.g. - you can look at my TR Calendar and the workouts you see are what are coming in from TP despite the fact that I’m scheduled out through the end of the month over there right now.)
For those that subscribe, TP Makes it very easy to catalog and manage custom workouts and different workout libraries. But, this is probably an edge case for most TR users - it’s really only relevant for people who are combining TR with self-coaching, working with a coach, or are looking to pick / manage at least some of their own workouts.
It also has some great charting, analysis, metrics, dashboards, etc.
Intervals.icu is the same idea, but a much stronger free option - Arguably I might rather see workout integration there first, and I think there’s another thread on that.
You mentioned the 2-3 that it does now. I don’t have any future workouts showing on my TP.
TrainerRoad does a great job at prescribing work, but TrainingPeaks I feel like is much better at analyzing the data. TP allows you to easily see long term trends and progression across seasons. expected ramp rates, identify performance correlated with specific CTL ranges, watch TSB before races, easily see decoupling, compare power curves over time. I understand that more graphs and data doesn’t always equate to faster or better and that a lot of people really don’t need or want that. But some certainly do.
Yeah, I understand TrainingPeaks, I’m mostly just wondering what having upcoming training in there would do for you, but I think I understand now.
The trouble here, I imagine, is that your training in TR changes so often, which could cause issues. ![]()
I’ll forward this suggestion to the team, though!
If the ever-changing TR workouts can be synced with Zwift, I would think the same could be done with TP.
But that’s not really the ask for most people. People looking for TP integration want to be able to see things like “past 90 days and next 30 days” in terms of CTL, and then be able to add in runs, other rides, etc. to manage load/other.
In the past, I always wanted TR to send the full training plan to TP so I could analyze, but with the new AI, that’s pretty much useless.
We only send the next three days worth of workouts to Zwift, not your entire AI window, much less anything further than that.
That’s because it’s the other way around. TrainingPeaks workouts come into TrainerRoad, not vice versa. Completed TR workouts will make their way back to TP fine.
For what it’s worth, you can do this in Intervals.icu. If you grab TrainerRoad’s icalendar feed and add it to Intervals.icu, it’ll show the load of future workouts in the fitness chart:
But like Eddie said, considering how often TR workouts change, I’m not sure how useful that is.
Forward future workouts and planned rides to Hexis for nutrition planning.
