TR handling DNF's

New user. How does TR handle DNF events? I recently competed in a virtual race and had to resign after about half the distance due to leg cramps. Since this is not a workout my understanding is that TR would assume that the event went on as planned. Does the software just look at the distance that was completed and intensity for the distance travelled during the event and use that to monitor the future number of hours and intensity for the plan? Is there somewhere besides comments that one could mark DNF for future documentation and reference?

Thanks

If you rate the effort “all out” (5 of 5), you should get the failure survey.

There was some discussion a while back complaining about this behaviour because people on this forum tend to want to go All Out at their races and don’t feel like this is failure. Upon reflection, I’ve decided that my “tank is empty” rating is Very Hard (4 of 5) for workouts and that this is also appropriate for races as well. For me, All Out is reserved for when TR did not or could not detect my failure to complete.

I feel the same way on scoring. I did mark as 5 out of 5 but it did not present the survey. My guess is that since it was not a Workout it did not know it was not completed. I completed through desktop not app. Thanks for the input.

Hey @Zpiloto

It looks like you were able to adjust the Post Workout Survey for the Zwift Races on the 29th and 30th.

If not, you should be able to access it from the website or app: Post-Workout Surveys

Note: for a non-TR Workout, the post-workout survey works a bit differently, so in this case, you just have to rate the effort for the event. But I will bring the DNF as a feature request.

And yes! TR uses the workout data to determine any adjustments to your training plan
