Is this in the official release or just in the beta?
Good question!
For now, this version of our app is just in Beta. ![]()
Great to hear that german is coming in the next few weeks. I think a possible translation for Coach Chad is coach Karl
(ok, that js just a joke)
Ride on😁
The links to download the beta version aren’t working for me…
In general, this update should perform better on both windows and Mac as far as system requirements go.
The app is actually running in a version of Chromium (Google Chrome) using a platform called Electron.
That means that if your computer can handle web pages and has some ram it should work well.
The initial sync can still take some time because of the amount of data, but after that you should be good.
If anyone runs into slow performance, please report it here. That way we can update minimum system requirements.
Just downloaded and had a quick look around. Starting a new plan on Tuesday so will get a chance to give it a real go then.
On initial impressions it seems much snappier when loading and changing screens. Loving the new design and great to see the implementation of ‘feature requests’ suggested by the TR community in the forums.
Well done TR Team!![]()

Looks awesome and I’ll be starting with it this morning. Will the beta autoupdate and become ‘nonbeta’ at some point? Is there autoupdate functionality built in on the Mac version? There was another thread about autoupdates but no answer on whether Mac version patches itself with new updates.
This one will always be the Beta, but we will announce when this will replace our production version of our apps. We are currently manually pushing the update for the version that people have, and it’s generally every afternoon Monday - Friday. Once the new update is available, the app will prompt you to restart from a banner along the top to apply the changes.
Could you please add a feature which will show the upcoming target watts? And with the interval summary. Bring back the old one. It’s a lot better.
Pete,
If we have downloaded the Beta (say Windows in this case) do we need to keep manually downloading new versions, or will this automagically update on application restarts?
Hi there! Great question. Once you have the beta downloaded, no need to worry about grabbing a new version as changes are made. A green update banner will appear when a newer version is available. Once you click on it the app will restart and update to the most recent version. ![]()
Hi there! Sorry to hear you’re having trouble downloading the beta. Could you let me know what’s happening when you try to download it and what platform you’re on (Windows or Mac)?
Will FTP properly sync across the Production and Beta apps? I had trouble a few months back using the Beta and could not get it to pull the correct FTP. It actually re-wrote the wrong (older) FTP back to the website and then the main app was wrong. Had to manually delete and restart both apps and it was a bit of a pain.
It is matching for my uses.
Can I download the new version and keep a copy of the old so my wife can use the old one while I use the new one on the same machine? (different accounts) We have been doing this for years but she is on the OLD OLD OLD version haha
This shouldn’t cause any problems - the beta app and production app have different names so no wires should be crossed in having both of them installed! ![]()
You guys are awesome. Thanks for serious commitment to constantly improving and already amazing program.
