(Too) Big weekends / low volume weekdays with train now vs mid volume

Context :
I’m currently following a low sweet spot base plan, however I use train now at least 2 days a week. So In total I’m riding 5 days a week including 1 outdoor ride on Saturday. My Saturday rides usually around are 200-250 TSS. I’ve been doing this for about 3 blocks of sweet spot base and I feel fine. I usually take Sunday completely so I can recover.

  1. Does following low volume and train now feature simulate if I was following a mid volume plan? Should I continue this for next base? Or just follow a mid volume?

  2. Sometimes I’ll miss the group ride on Saturdays and just following the recommend ride for Saturday on the trainer. Since there will be a big discrepancy in accumulated TSS for that week… does that negatively affect my training?
