I’d like to see the episodes split into the old style questions and answers one for an hour, and then another 60-90 min one which is more the Top Gear style with their latest challenge and their prep being discussed.
I like the timing of the podcasts now. Also feel a bit more focused.
Appreciate TR listening to the feedback and adjusting the approach.
Good work!
Which episodes had 40k TT training and whatnot in them?
You’re going to love our new Science of Getting Faster podcast! Only science and explanation.
Oh man, I’m not sure. We’re trying to index all of our podcasts. That will help us find those.
Two hours is fantastic, I think the questions are great, sometimes there’s brand new stuff I haven’t considered, sometimes there’s just a new slant on the answer, always informative.
I also really dig any and all race talk, especially Cape Epic because there’s so much buy in from the whole crew with the teams and friendly competition.
I can answer that as I’m just passing through that vicinity on my way through the back-catalogue. Around the Ep 163-164 mark.
Plus more if there’s earlier content I haven’t reached yet.

You should hear @bnied and @ambermalika’s shit talking!!
I kid I kid…sorta…
They are a confident team! ![]()
It is nice when I can easily skip to the question/topic I’m interested in in youtube. Seems like most of the time this is done, but not always
Sorry Nate, but you’re backed into a corner;
Team mate is an ultra competitve current Pro who is going to drag your a** up the climbs and the competiton is a very experienced stage racer…
Sorry bud
, but got to be even money on you blowing up on day 4 under the pressure.
But, can they descend? (and will that matter?) ![]()
There’s a new feature that makes this easy!!
2 hours is good, thanks for reigning it in a little ![]()
I’m now back to the episodes where the live questions aren’t included. The recent 2hr pods are miles better. Don’t change TrainerRoad. Love your work!
Yup. Love the podcast, but it’s only one of 30 or 40 podcasts I listen to. an hour a week would be plenty.
Now that they are adding chapters, that should eliminate your issues, so you can cherry pick the topics you want to hear about. I love it, and occasionally skip that which I don’t want to hear about.
I think the length of the podcast is great, “at elevation.”
As someone who isn’t so interested in the ‘deep dives’, I really love the fact that they are now breaking the podcast into ‘segments’. I can skip to the next question when they start getting really really technical.
I’d love to have a ‘ELI5 Takeaways’ section after each question, where Chad sums up the last hour of science in easy-to-understand terms. So, for example after explaining the energy systems of the muscles and how a particular type of training affects these, having a summary like: “This is what this means in terms of what you need to do in your training to improve X.”
I have mixed feelings about this, but ultimately I like the longer shows. Now, if we could get a show that was just Amber, that would be the best, lololololoololol. ![]()
