It is. However, you get a fairly fast and short downhill and get enough momentum to get over an even shorter steep bit. Then it is an all out power to the line, over the next 30 seconds or so.

The Cascade cycling classic stage race in Bend has a 2 only field (or usually has had, a couple years ago it was a 2/3 field). End of May.

Flat crit, potentially flat TT. Not flat: everything else.

@Nate_Pearson Pro Tip for cold hands! I race cyclocross in WI and have Raynaud’s so I pretty much use hand (and toe) warmers from October-December. Put the hand warmer in your glove and turn the glove palm up to put your hand in. The hand warmer doesn’t bunch up and doesn’t affect your grip or dexterity because the packet is on top of your hand. Still keeps the fingers warm and toasty:)

Cascade Cycling classic has slight changes for the 2 field… no TT (unless you do Masters 1/2/3’s and its not flat). Same thing for the crit change, not flat just fast descent and figure eight course with a punchy climb.

Still worth doing as a 2 though as you’re doing the same courses as the Pro/1’s so you’re gaining experience.

I’ll second the recommendation for the RTIC gallon water jug. A fraction of the price and nicely made.
