Why does the sustained power build have such sustained power? This could easily go by as short power build. Wouldn’t you want to target extensive threshold and suprathreshold to further muscular endurance at the high end, and boost FTP? I could understand a vo2 workout once every 2 weeks, but it just seems like there is not enough sustained power to get the mental adaptations especially.
Yeah, I was wondering the same while looking at the new plans… I’m sure I miss some knowledge, but apart the understandable reduction in weekly and progression TSS, the new plan departs heavily from what it was
