I just came here to say that sugar makes me get leg cramps too. Really scary bad ones that make me lose consciousness. In the hip flexors, groin and calf. Doctors look at me like I am crazy. I had stomach problems yesterday and could only eat white rice…well news flash, that caused the scariest leg cramp event yet! I think it’s all simple carbs that make the blood sugar soar and crash. I tried eating yellow mustard and pickle juice, I was passing out until I forced a low carb tortilla down my throat and I was cured…ar least till later. I am scared to go to sleep. There is definitely a connection between sugar and leg cramps in some people. I just think it might be rare enough that it isn’t on the medical radar. It’s very frustrating. All we can really do is try to keep our blood sugar stable. Ketosis makes it happen for me as well.
