Currently using kickr pro paired with iPhone, also have wahoo app paired with fans etc. Erg mode works wonderfully, but when I toggle it off to standard mode nothing changes. This happens on multiple trainers. I tried closing the wahoo app to ensure that connection was not controlling. Any ideas? PS - I was able to get it into standard mode by unplugging all and reconnecting the trainer starting on standard mode. However, as soon as I went to erg it was stuck again. Also - this issue does not happen with zwift. TIA.
This is a bit strange.
Just to confirm, you’ve tried reproducing this with the same setup in Zwift and haven’t had any issues. Is that right?
A couple of questions for you:
- Were you using BLE or ANT+ to connect to TR?
- Was the Wahoo app fully force-closed (not just backgrounded) before trying to switch modes?
- Does the issue happen without the Wahoo app ever being open in that session?
It sounds like Wahoo’s app can hold a BLE control lock on the trainer, which prevents TR from switching resistance modes even after closing the app (the BLE connection sometimes persists in the background).
