“Hold companies accountable” :facepunch:

If you go to Rapha’s write up about diversity, inclusion and greater equality, you can leave a message and your email there…

I picked one up. I just recently grabbed a couple of the regular Pro Team training jerseys and they’re so good it was an easy decision. Finally able to retire all my threadbare early 2000s team kit.

Also appreciate they added some $$$ to the price and 100% of profit to the team.

I’m male, but in all my internetting I’ve only ever seen one (1) company offer a female-specific bib short. It’s a bit mind boggling, really. Perhaps not conducive to a bigger bottom line, then again, that’s a really narrow vision. Says something (loudly) about corporate culture in that females (51% of the population) still have to fight for equality of product.

Hope l39gion pushes Rapha on this.

There are lots of companies who do women’s bib shorts! Smaller shops like Machines For Freedom are way ahead of the curve, but even Rapha has multiple options for women’s bibs now. CyclingTips has did a couple roundups this year if you’re on the hunt for recs, and KitAddiction has a video

(Er or did you mean team kit bibs?)

Yep
A company like Rapha, building their name on diversity and inclusion shouldn’t need to be pushed to include women.
And @Captain_Doughnutman I would be careful making comments about women having “bigger bottoms” in the current climate :face_with_raised_eyebrow::rofl::joy:

I don’t think I see one on the website.

I bought about a minute after I posted the link here. Only found out because of a Rapha marketing email.

I got one because I saw your post. Thanks!

Yeah, like @ellotheth said, plenty of companies do women’s kit. I’ve got Pearl Izumi and Primal bibs in my closet, and that just scratches the surface of what’s available. Now women’s bibs that are easy to pee in without taking a jersey off are less common (though still out there), and that’s something I wish more companies gave some thought to.

This is to what I was politely referring. You know me, modest!

One of those CyclingTips review links is a round-up of drop-tail bibs, and so is the KitAddiction video! (Weirdly Machines for Freedom doesn’t have any?) Personally I’ve been getting a lot of mileage out of this dhb Aeron halterneck, but it’s in the budget category price-wise. The halter system works but it’s a little uncomfortable sitting on a toilet. I really want to try one of those Velocio bibs but I’m still in the I can’t possibly spend over $200 on one pair of shorts phase of my cycling kit evolution

I listened to this again at work. It’s still awesome and I never cringed in regards to the current climate around the world ATM.

Is it possible to get some more info on the actual training routine? For those of us that haven’t been riding all of our lives.

What did his dad make him do on the trainer before he could come along for a ride? Just for fun.
How many hours a week do they ride and how do they structure the training?

Man’s been committed to his vision for a long time. :+1:t6:

@juswilliamz …hmmm, guess he’s not a TR forum member…yet.

So I got a “Welcome to Rapha” response when I messaged them via their inclusivity statement.
I emailed them re why the Legion jerseys are not available for women. I got a “it’s going to take a while to get back to you due to Covid” response.
I will continue until I get a response. They make such a strong statement about inclusivity I don’t see how they can validate not having female jerseys available.

Women’s sizes in the next drop! :tada::tada::tada::tada::tada:

Justin Williams on Instagram: "Don’t ride behind people you don’t know; especially during Covid... Thank you all for supporting the team with the jersey sales. Re-order coming soon, details coming soon. Racing is up in the air who knows... Nationals is canceled. Kids put your names in your profile or handles or you’ll miss opportunities." at about 1:50

Bloody Awesome!
Good find ,

Is there a platform for podcasts that are best to share among the deaf community? Is there a transcript of the podcast available?

Got a shout out for my Legion jersey on my ride today. Made my day.

Hopefully JW and l39gion create a lasting legacy.

It would be awesome if l39gion and the Bahati Foundation came together to build some kinda all-in-one grass roots-to-pro organization for BIPOC cyclists.

As a bonus, remember the time that Bahati won 20 races (incl. a Nat Champ) with one leg?

Just a reality check next time you think you’re getting fast…
