Small Annoyances with App and Web Client

Hey @grayham  I am sorry to hear about the crashes.

Sounds like you only use your Pixel for TR and have nothing else running on it.

Let’s check a few things:

  • Software Upgrade: let’s check that your pixel is on the latest software upgrade as these often come with fixes that can improve how your phone interacts with the TR app.
  • TR app: Let’s delete and download the TR app on your Pixel to get rid of any corrupted data that could be causing this issue.
  • Battery Mode: make sure your phone is at least 50% charged when using the TR app and that it’s not on batter save mode.
  • WiFi: if using WiFi, make sure you have a strong connection.

Other Bluetooth troubleshooting steps to consider: Bluetooth Smart (4.0) Troubleshooting

Thanks Caro. I’ll delete and reinstall the TrainerRoad app, and see if I get any more crashes.

None of the other bullets really apply to my scenario though - it’s the app fully crashing (and failing to resume the workout when restarting the app). That can’t be to do with connectivity or battery power unless there’s a software issue (in any case, I never have Bluetooth dropouts, always have >50% power, and am about 3 metres from my WiFi hub - the TR app sometimes claims to be offline before I start a workout, but it isn’t…)

If I do experience further crashes, are there likely to be logs on the device which TR support could use to troubleshoot, or should I just try a different device?

Thanks again for your help.

I think we all get that sometimes  - so its unrelated to your issue i think.

Hey @grayham  Just checking in to see if you’ve experienced any more crashes.

(And yes! trying a different device narrows down the issue to see if it’s app or device related).

We can always check into backend logs as well.

Hi @Caro.Gomez-Villafane - thanks for checking. I’ve actually been sick with flu, so haven’t ridden for nearly two weeks. Will be getting back into it shortly though, and will let you know how things go!

Oh no! I hope you are feeling better!

Let me know how it goes once you’re back on the bike
