Skipping out the base phase - let's try this post again!

Evening!

Please can anyone advise how I can skip the base phase?

I used TrainerRoad for a few months and it got me through a 90km time trial. I canceled for a couple of months in favour of 4-5 outdoor rides per week. I also swim 5 times per week.

I have a race in mid October (40km TT) that I’d like to use TR to prepare me for, but I’d like to avoid all the base phase again - the build phase doesn’t start until September.

I’ve tried to back date the start date and whilst it displays all of the workouts it throws up an error when I select ‘add to calendar’. The error is ‘There was an error building your plan. A server error occurred’.

I’m looking at the mid-volume plan, 5 rides per week, two of which I selected to ride outside.

Any guidance most welcome!

Many thanks.

Hey @sjm,

Welcome (back) to the forum!

You’ve got the right idea with backdating the plan to skip the Base phase. :+1:

Let me look into why you might be getting an error. :male_detective:

Thank you very much, Eddie! Hopefully it’s something straightforward. If you need any screen shots, please let me know.

Hey @sjm,

Sorry for the delay! It looks like there was a little bug that was causing that issue with Plan Builder. :bug:

I’ve got it all sorted out though and I’ve applied a mid-volume plan to your calendar that starts with Sustained Power Build this week. :muscle:

I didn’t change any of the details from the plan template, so you might have to move things around to fit your needs. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns along the way though – I’d be happy to help get things how you’d like them!

Hi Eddie

That looks brilliant - thank you very much for your help!

Best wishes.
