This was Mac (Mackerel), sadly no longer with us:
And his brother Pepper who is, and who has a penchant for our down quilts and sleeping bags:
My girl, Barrie. She’s more fur than cat.

Scout is my newest family member. Likely the most dog-like cat I’ve ever had. She’s very sweet but at 11 months old she still has plenty of mischief in her, but her cuddling skills are next level as she’s warming my lap and revving her motor as I post.

The ones that have left us.
Kitty was the orange derp queen, she had a protective relationship with my son.
Yoshi was our Christmas kitten that had a terrible kidney disease that we tried so hard to fix, he was only with us a short time but he was a doll.
And my ride-or-die Tabby, Calyx - he was with me for 16 years and went with me to NY, NC and lived out his final days in my current home. He was one of those one people kind of cats and he chose me. Still a very special place for him in my heart. His passing was the hardest on me.
Oh god. Now I know why the TR site broke for the first time yesterday. Thanks, @mcneese.chad !

Introducing Chester, the Burmese we brought back with us from Spain and Sadie, the cat who wandered up on our porch and insisted on living in our house.
Sadie Arrival
No box or bag is safe from Sadie jumping in - like every single one
Chester, like most Burmese, will insist on laying down on any human for as long as possible - no way to tell him no
These two knuckleheads alternate between full on war and remarkably peaceful truces - open windows always bring cooperation and understanding
