Today, I did Rubicon-2 as an alternative to Dicks-1 because I was time-crunched. This was the last real threshold workout in my Century training plan (BWR Asheville coming up–woohoo!). I’m going in thinking 3x10 at 105% will be…unpleasant.
To my surprise, most of the workout instructions were referencing this workout being some sort of cutback week or recovery week workout! The majority of the tips felt like cruel and unusual punishment. I ended up focusing on cadence, which was probably a good thing.
I don’t know who you people are who see Rubicon-2 as a restful activity, but I tip my hat to you!
