Recommend me some TV series to watch

I subscribe to MasterClass this year, getting a good learning at the same time. There are some classes that are very interesting but I don’t see myself stopping my routine to take them… then the indoors is a great time to do it.

Thinking back to the beginning when I was training at home as a single man. I watched Vikings, some Marvel series like Flash, Bosch was awesome.

I really wanted to like this show, but it left me flat. And it felt like the 2nd half of the 2nd season was hastily redone to conclude in only 2 seasons.

I had the opposite experience. Loved the books, but kind of faded out on the series in season 3

I have spent many, many hours on the trainer watching the Doctor and his companions travel in space and time. It’s good stuff.

If you are curious about Dr Who, I’d start with the new ones. And I might even recommend starting with the first episode with the 11th Doctor called The Eleventh Hour.

I am working my way through the classic series, and unless you really like Doctor Who or old tv shows, it can be a bit of a slog.

(I’m a big fan…)

If you’re curious about Dr Who, then it’s about time…you watch…it

Drive to Survive

Umbrella Academy

Tour de France Unchained

Vikings

If you have been in a prison, try “Suits”…

If you want a serie with lots of episodes, try StarGate and then the spinoff StartGate Atlantis.

Its about personal preference but here are a couple of mine…

  • Midnight Mass
  • Game of Thrones
  • Arrested Development
  • Portlandia
  • Star Trek (pick 1…or 5!)
  • Don’t forget to watch all the NCAA Cross Country races and Indoor Track meets!

pantheon Pantheon (TV Series 2022–2023) - IMDb

Reacher Reacher (TV Series 2022– ) - IMDb (Season 2 landing next month!)

Pearson (spin off from Suits). Not As great. Pearson (TV Series 2019) - IMDb

Tour de France Unchained

Get that in the Netflix algorithm and bunch of other sports series should come up.

Man, I started watching it this week…sooo good, but sooooooooo fooked up!!!

An amalgamation of some of Edgar Allen Poe’s stories under the House of Usher umbrella…IMO, brilliantly done into a single, compelling narrative.

Only 1 episode left for me…

I don’t think anyone said The Plot Against America and Chernobyl.

Just started Deadwood for my 2023 winter training! Only halfway through series 1 and already hooked :ok_hand:t2:

When you finish the series, they later released a movie to wrap it all up.

Awesome, that will come in handy on those long endurance rides when I reach Polarised Build!

If you are into comic books stuff… Superman and Lois is probably some of the best in the DC universe of late.

Full warning… The teenagers are whiny and annoying in season 1, some of the stuff in season 2 introducing Bizarro is over the top comic book stuff… but it is all worth is to get to Season 3 which has a heavy plot with Lois going through cancer. But when Lex Luther shows up in the penultimate episode, along with the season finale is some of the best DC has done.

Pretty low bar there…

Definitely! Outside of a few it is been dismal.

Deadwood (TV Series 2004–2006) - IMDb 8.6 on IMDB…
looking at the sypnosis, it’s set in the 1800s hundreds… looks like a lot of drama at least based on the pic and the sypnosis.

Nowadays looking for more light hearted ones… like Rookie Cop (The Rookie (TV Series 2018– ) - IMDb) and his previous show - Castle Castle (TV Series 2009–2016) - IMDb

I stoopped midway in S2, got kinda draggy and like you said, the 2 kids…

I’m in the minority that hasn’t even watch 1 episode nor even peruse the trailer at all. All the darkness (as in a lot of scenes seems broody and shot in the dark - to convey drama I suppose) is a bit off-putting to me. But I’ll likely get to it someday when I’m bored enough
