Specifically looking for something that either doesn’t have an upper rim, or whose upper rim sits really high, so as not to obscure the upper part of the visual field and therefore minimise head-raising during riding. Also not looking to break the bank - preferably!
The best solution for anti-fog is to smear a small dab of baby shampoo on the inside of the lens, spread it around, let it sit for a few minutes and then wipe clean. Your glasses will never fog (old swimmers trick for goggles).
No factory-applied anti-fog treatment works worth a damn, so just use baby shampoo and then your choice of glasses opens immensely.
While they aren’t open frame at the top as you asked for, I always had great luck with Oakley Radar XL glasses. I have a very “head-down” TT position and could see out of them just fine. Dunno if they still make them, though.
I can’t wait to try this. I generally start my rides pre-dawn, and get about 60-90 minutes in before needing sunglasses. Inevitably my sunglasses, stored in my helmet vents, will be fogged and useless. For obvious reasons we have plenty of baby shampoo laying around, so there really isn’t much incremental cost, and if it works my cycling life will be improved tremendously.
I use cheap rockbros photo chromatics for rides in low light and gravel riding as they seem to change fast enough.
Tifosi have photo chromatic models. Great for starting in low light and riding until the sun is high
+1 for photocromatic lenses.
Photochromic.
