Still no further forward other than them asking to send it back…I asked if it’s posible to reset the firmware as that is the only variable that has changed , also today I tried changing to resistance during a workout and even then I had random watt fluctuations. Now my wahoo is showing the correct watts but I didn’t have it connected…..one question if the bluetooth is dodgy how to i connect with ANT + Cheers Brian.
Generally speaking, Bluetooth is more reliable in my experience, but it could be worth trying ANT+.
If you’re having Bluetooth issues, I’d do your best to ensure that the device you’re using isn’t connected to any other Bluetooth sensors in the area. Also, make sure that your sensors (power meter/trainer) aren’t connected to any other devices.
I do understand the hesitation to pay for shipping, but there is a chance that we might not be able to fix your trainer through more troubleshooting, so keep that in mind.
Let me know what you find with your broadcasting troubleshooting!
Hi Brian, I updated my Suito’s firmware last week and am now seeing the same power drops you are, but with HIGHER frequency. In a workout yesterday I had at least 6 dips, all of them short but enough to cause issues. I found your post when trying to narrow things down.
Thanks for posting this…I have asked Elite on more than one occasion about a reset for the firmware and got this reply today…
Good morning,
”I confirm that it is not possible to reset the previous firmware of the trainer after the update but we have never received any complaints from other customers for issues similar to yours experienced after the firmware update. So I doubt that the problem you have is caused by the firmware update. “
I will now copy your message and send it back to them, then it will be interseting what they say….to me all firmwre can be reset to the original.
I got a message back from Elite saying they have not had any issues with the firmware update…I mentioned you and they asked if you had reported it…if not I suggest you do.
Also I googled it and it appears lots of people have the same issue.
The person I mentioned has raised the issue with you, additionally I done a search and it is apparent lots of others are facing exactly the same issue since the firmware update.
Please discuss an opportunity to reset to the last version, at least that will give us an opportunity at home to verify.
I have said on numerous occasions this is the only variable after 6 years of use with no issues.
After a lot of communication back and forth and Elite’s denial of issues since the firmware upgrade I done a search and found it to be common, I then took them to task with this information and now they are sending me a new circuit board to replce for free….fingers crosssed that will fix it.
Also they said it was not possible to set back to factory settings firmware.
Hi Guys, im having the same issue after updating the trainer. I wrote to elite support and im waiting for response. Is replacing the board only solution?
To resolve the issue you encountered, please disable the Stand alone with powered trainer function (Stand alone mode for interactive trainers) on My E-Training by following these steps:
Open the My E-Training app
Go to “Settings” > “Stand alone with powered trainer”
Disable the “Enable” option
Confirm by selecting “OK”
