Off the platform for 3+ years, lots of changes it seems, some questions regarding non cycling workouts

Hi Everyone,
I am thinking of reactivating my subscription. can you tell me how non cycling workouts are integrated by the training plans? if I manually enter Nordic skiing workouts with heart rate etc and weight training sessions will they be factored into my fitness and fatigue levels?

I’m in my 50s and have been struggling with recovery/freshness lately and want to follow a plan rather than figure it out on my own. Will the AI engine do a good job of factoring in my other activities when choosing workouts for me? I want to Nordic ski til mid March but I know it impacts my cycling - I am ok with that, I just want optimized cycling workouts to account for this.

Same with weight training - will it suggest days for it or just adjust my workouts after I tell it what and when I did a weight session. Lots of talk about this in recent podcasts but not clear on how the engine handles it.

Thanks all

Fitness no, Fatigue, yes.

Use plan builder and select Master’s Plans (2 instead of 3 intensity days a week).

It won’t suggest days to weight train, but ideally you would weight train on you hard days (interval days) and keep rest and z2 days as such. It will take weight training as fatigue and adjust your training as needed.

Agree with everything @MI-XC mentioned above!

Your fatigue will be managed by Red Light Green Light and it will indeed take into account your skiing and weight lifting. Excess fatigue from those activities (and from many other sport types) will trigger Adaptive Training to modify your cycling plan for you.

I also agree that our Masters Plans sound like a good fit for you if you have been having a difficult time with recovery/freshness as of late.

Hope that additional info helps – feel free to let us know if you have any other questions!

I’m also back on the app after about six years away. I was curious about nordic/skate skiing tss being added to fitness or fatigue. It seems I have to manually add this TSS even though my garmin records a tss based on hr in TrainingPeaks.

Are there plans for the calendar to actually be a calendar with integrating metrics from Garmin, Whoop, adding notes and such? Mostly for tracking sleep. It would be nice to have everything in one stop instead of going back and forth between TR and TrainingPeaks.
