No PL improvement when ending workout early

Last night I thought I had 90 minutes to spare and so decided to through in an extra workout that wasn’t part of my training plan. I opted for The Big Gun which was considered a Stretch workout with a VO2 Max of 4.0 up from my current 1.6.

I was actually finding it relatively easy and had bumped up the intensity 11% when I completed the 2nd set. However, turned out I only had 60 minutes to spare and had to cut it short before the 3rd block of 30/30s.

I filled in the survey appropriately but there is no increase to my PL or adaptation to my future workouts. I appreciate that I didn’t complete the workout but I did 2/3rds of something which the algorithms thought would be a challenge and so would assume that there should be some adaptation to the rest of the training plan as a result.

Anyone have any thoughts on why partial workouts don’t impact your PL or training plan?

That is the expected behaviour currently.

I agree is would be a nice feature to analyse partial workouts and assign a PL to them - but that isn’t the case at the moment.
