I love my Ooler so decided to get a Dock Pro. I decided to return it and wait until they fix the issues with it:
- Mine cooling unit makes a high pitch whining/whistle sound. If it wasn’t for this I would say it is not as loud as the Ooler.
- The wifi chipset is crap. My router is in the next room and this thing can’t stay connected.
- Programs just stop/start randomly. I think this is due to the network issues.
- Not sold on the non-sealed water reservoir, seems to go through water fast (like ever few days). This isn’t a deal breaker though.
- i am not convinced the temperature readings reflect the actual water temperature. This could be due to the flaky wifi though.
It’s a shame because the Dock Pro cooling is really great and the pad is good too. Much superior to the Ooler. However, I can’t sleep with the noise (might just be my unit) and the crappy wifi (all units).
I am going to go back to using my Ooler and wait for version 2 of the Dock Pro
