Missed rides, can I move a training plan forward?

Missed a couple weeks and didn’t pause my training plan. Is there a way to move the entire thing forward two weeks?

If you use adaptive training it will adapt the workouts just as nothing have happened

Hey there,

As @stefanf said, Adaptive Training should take care of everything for you – we’d suggest accepting any proposed adaptations to your plan, and continuing along with your next workout. AT will modify anything that needs changing and get you back on track!

Well, I use adaptive and have accepted the modifications but it’s still putting me right back in real program that’s fairly "sporty "after a couple weeks off.

My first week off coincided with the fourth week in a cycle which was mostly recovery/endurance type rides before it ramped up again

I thought a good way to get back into it would be on that fourth before I dove back into some more challenging efforts.

I guess I’ll just manually modify my training plan.

Are you feeling fully recovered? It’s likely that you haven’t lost as much fitness as you might think after just a couple of weeks off. It’s possible that any lingering effects of your illness are what you’re feeling, rather than a significant drop in fitness.

If you’re unsure whether you’re back to full health, it could be wise to start with less intense workouts and see how your body responds before pushing yourself further.

Yeah definitely not where I was a couple weeks ago and the first ride they had scheduled was 2 1/2 hours😂

One day off and then this fairly epic 30 repeat short effort VO2 Max workout.

That’s not gonna happen.

Just gonna ride my own week and then get back on the train next week.

That’s what happens when you’ve celebrated the 30th anniversary of your 37th birthday.
