I don’t use either frequently enough (and I should) but I prefer the gun just because it can be easier as I’m passively massaging and chilling vs really having to roll out. That being said, some areas you really just have to roll tho to get the best results (back, lower legs). On a side note if you ever want to try and pass a kidney stone fast, hit the torso with the gun and it will make things happen .
or get your doctor to write you a prescription for a trip to Disney land and the rear cars on Big Thunder Railway coaster and legit use your FSA to pay for it. Worth a try isn’t it?
If you aren’t in to Disney, then yeah the massage gun is more likely to not draw as much attention in an audit.
I prefer massage gun. And I don’t know if this has any performance benefit but I sometimes use it on my legs before a hard trainer workout after I’ve been sitting at my desk all day
