So… on the TR podcast they’ve been harping on the fact that there’s is; no magic pill, hack, or shortcut to hard work! I mostly agree with one major caveat. Carbohydrates!!! I think the people that have been in the sport for a long time forget what it’s like when you first figured out how to properly fuel your body! It’s almost like you’re suddenly supercharged… A lot of cyclists, including myself, transitioned from other sports later in life. As a runner, I just never had to worry too much about diet because it’s just not possible, for me, to burn as much “fuel” running as cycling whilst not getting injured. Carbs carbs carbs and more carbs!
