Just tried to complete my first workout (Ramp Test) on my iPad (iOS 17.6.1) and the workout crashed after I accepted my new FTP. There was no error code or warning. When I returned to the app, it asked if I wanted to resume my workout. Selected yes and then it crashed again. Not a great first time experience. I opened the app again and the career page came up, no indication I had been in a workout. My FTP updated, but the workout was not recorded. I assume that’s gone forever. My iPad and iPhone are my two primary devices for indoor workouts.
Edit to add: I have a first gen Kickr bike and a polar H10 HRM connected.
Workout is not gone, and likely TR can recover it if you reach out to support. For the future, the only times I’ve had apps crash is when either the app or the iOS is not on the latest update and/or the iPad has not been turned off recently. I used To leave my iPad on for weeks at a time never turning it off.
As @MI-XC said, always feel free to reach out to support@trainerroad.com about issues like this!
I’ll let our “Ride Recovery” team know about this case – they should be able to look into your account and help you get that deleted ride back.
Update on that bit: your Ramp Test should be back on your TR account now!
As @MI-XC also mentioned, make sure your TR app is on the latest version and that your iOS is as well. We also recommend turning your devices off from time to time to give them a chance to fully “reset.”
