Internet is like 1mpbs needed, so not much.
They did a POC on mobile and I think it won’t take much. I’m not sure though.

@Nate_Pearson Might SMO2 and/or THb data from a Moxy sensor provide some useful insight to how prepared the muscles are to work…? I’ve just started down this rabbit hole with a Moxy sensor, and think there is potentially some very insightful data that could be collected/displayed right along with power to help a user identify if they are “over-reaching”. I.e. SMO2 that is continuing to negative trend during a longer, or later interval, could provide real-time “information” to evaluate when trying to decide what to do with a current workout.
Check out this workout I did the other night with the Moxy. Intervals.icu
Had this been a 4x15, the tail end of the 3rd interval might have been a good indication to “pull the plug”, as the last ~3 minutes showed a declining SMO2. I haven’t spent enough time with the sensor yet to know if that would necessarily be the case, but presumably ML could pick up on those types of trends if they correlated with future failure? Or maybe something from the warmup would even indicate; or maybe the SMO2 response of priming intervals after the warmup—lots of thing could potentially give good indications of what to do with the workout.
Realizing that link might not work, so including a pic of the workout data
listening to adaptive training and pretty suer my coach won’t like this much… hehehe at the moment I use a coach, that give me workouts, I code them via workout creator and then do them. this sort of lends to me not doing that…
question, Jonathan eludes to inputting the “feeling” of a workout after the workout so that the system can adjust as/when needed, I much be blind… known to happen but where do we do this, so that the algorithms know how to adjust the IF of workouts being prescribed.

I hope TR supports the data. At least to just record it and feed the model if you don’t want to use up develoment resources to add to the UI
There’s a section in the podcast about post workout surveys - you get either a “successful” survey where you give an RPE for the workout or a “failure” survey where you choose between options that describe why you failed. These popup immediately post workout but you can go back to older workouts and do the surveys later, I think this is limited to seven days.
ye, heard that comment about post workout survey’s also, now I’ve never seen them popup (i Use the app on iOS), which might be the cause, but would be great to be able to tag this also post workout via the web interface which I"m not seeing.

The surveys won’t appear yet, they will only be presented to you if you are on the Beta testing program and have been given access. Once AT is fully rolled out then everyone will see them.
I’ve no idea what bata or closed bata is, but I’ve signed up to it.Nothings come up in my TR account, but maybe my little brain can’t cope with such advanced geekisms, that I’ll wait till it gets onto the TR website
Beta just means it is not ready to be released to everyone. A closed beta means you will have to be invited or qualify to join. A public beta, like the iOS and Android app beta means you can just opt in and run the beta software. You just have to understand it may break due to bugs.
Exactly what I was wondering after completing Palisade yesterday where over unders became a VO2 session though I gutted it out to near death!
Yes - you fill in rpe survey at end.
I can confirm, the survey pops up right after you hit the end of the workout timer. Once you click your selection, it returns to the app like always.
And you have the option to edit your answer up to 7 days after, if you made a mistake or need to change your response for any reason.
It would be useful if the survey included choices that are unique to outside workouts. I see reasons for over or under performing outside can include: weather, terrain, traffic.
I’m curious about how to “take” the survey when someone’s RPE may be different at the beginning of the workout versus the end of the workout. How do you handle that type of situation? Especially an over/under type of workout, which is where I usually struggle on the later intervals.
I bet its been launched today, I haven’t been checking my emails ![]()
I believe they talked about this on the podcast. You’re not taking a snapshot of one minute of the workout and analyzing your RPE of that, but how the whole thing felt throughout. It’s a given that the first or second interval will feel easier than the last.
Just be consistent on how you rate your RPE - let the AI/ML figure the rest out.
@mcneese.chad could you share the progression level on Spanish Needle -1? Curious how that one is regarded. Have done that one and Mills (4.9) this week just to try seeding some data for AT and they feel so different I honestly can’t guess which one TR would rate higher.
For now I guess I’m going to just compare upcoming general build vo2 max rides vs trainnow intensity recommendations and try to see if trainnow suggests anything that is clearly faster or slower ramp up than the stock general build and just hope AT is released before plan is over.
Just caught up with the podcast on this ![]()
Sounds great, looking forward to making a huge splash in the market. Which makes me wonder you should have kept quiet about it till it was closer and just picked random users for beta and slap a tight NDA on them. Now all the other players will be on it like a car bonnet.
I still want you to partner with RGT though for training, as the RGT team are also good for cycling and not a bunch of elitist ***** ****** like zwift devs ![]()
Really looking forward to it now, so keep up the great work you are doing for TR and cycling in general
TR subscriber for two years now and having not used it much since COVID started once all events got canceled because folowing entirely a plan just doesnt makes sense to me at the moment. Have been riding the last months and racing a lot on other platforms for a more social and engaging experience.
Getting second thougts on keeping my year subscription on TR for next year this new feature allowing to get all my workouts and rides done in all platforms and outside considered at all times so whenever I get on TR I can have a specific prescribed training that fits in my training with some King of Logic may just be a game changer to keep on subscribing.
Hope all goes well with beta and by the summer we all can get this new feature available. ![]()
