This is exactly what it does. Either longer workouts or higher percent of FTP.
I see you retired the other phrase! Nice ![]()
What ‘meaning’ of FTP are you trying to find? Some number based on % of max aerobic power, CP60, or power at TTE?
What’s my estimated FTP? Because I’m going through a bit of a thing with mine at the moment lol
Fo pass fail in erg mode is this based on the power target it is shooting you for or what you really do? Say TR tells the trainer to do 200 but you do 195 going by your power meter but you are doing what the trainer is making you do. Is that a fail or a pass?
Yes it will! We did a machine learning power to HR project and now we’ve got it fairly accurate. It will always be better with a PM though.
One of the sneaky little wins for me is the ability to gain insight into outdoor rides that only have HR.
Overall, exciting!
FYI
@Nate_Pearson This is incredibly exciting! Congrats to the entire team on this. ML is a monumental amount of work - leading a small team doing some ML work in a whole different industry. Well Done!!!
This is all so cool. Can’t wait to start using it.
Say you crank up the intensity on a Sweet Spot workout and get a super pass. Is that a good thing? Or did you effectively just turn your sweet spot workout into a threshold workout that wasn’t part of your plan for the day.
Key question I have not seen addressed:
Who’s the best person to bribe to gain beta access?
The pass/fail will not be nearly that narrow of a window dont worry. ![]()
I like wine and baked goods. ![]()
LOL JK.
fyi intervals.icu does this already!
People get access today. We’ve got a tight timeline to get this out to everyone, but of course bugs and performance issues could slow that down.
The workout success classification system is absolutely incredible. I’ve pushed it as hard as I could and it’s flawless in its ability to recognize a true struggle vs. the normal variations in a workout for whatever common reason.
On it. ![]()
Yes, this is exactly our stance. I also predict that there will be interactions between them that we’re not aware of.
Every time I see ML here I think my employer (Merrill Lynch) has invested into TR ![]()
