Also I assume that thereāll be means of entering ālifeā TSS? I do a part-time physical job so supra-threshold workouts the following day are really hard, I need to have a rest/recovery day between shifting rocks and hitting VO2max intervals and the like.
Excited about this. Masters athlete training for 6-12 hour mountain bike events with elevation and sustained climbs. If this will use my data (strengths/weaknesses) to adapt the TR plan to maximize my specific fitness for those events then it will be what I have been looking forā¦
This sounds fantastic and likely to help craft what Iāve been looking for for my goals and lifestyle/schedule for awhile. Sounds like itās going to be time to resubscribe! Nice job TR!
Do you guys know how long is the queue?
Iāve canceled my Trainerroad subscription last fall. I was doing some random workouts and races on zwift, but this announcement makes me want to signup again. I was planning to start new training plan this Monday (march 1) with sufferfest, but really want to try this. If the beta queue is not too long I will renew my trainerroad subscription instead.
This is exciting stuff really. For me the plans were kind of stagnating and I was having trouble following the MV build plan due to carrying too much fatigue. With this system I think itāll do a better job of A. Prescribing the best workout for the individual for that day and B. Resulting in more of a mental win by not failing or turning down or ending early and getting down mentally
The only question I have is when will this become reality?
Okidokes, so as mentioned in the podcast, Polarized plans will be offered, iād like to know when, and how i can sign up.
Iām running concurrently (in a polarized way) and iād want to have the same format going on for my cycling. After several injuries and setbacks with my run i think itās the best approach (for now) on it. At the same time, i can help contribute to machine learning about results from this kind of training!
heart rate which is really two different levels:
āgeneral heart rate
ābeat by beat timing. Needed for HRV and breaths per minute calculations. Garmin head units donāt record this by default but can be turned on. Optical hr sensors donāt track this well during workouts so need a chest strap.
Will you import more data from Garmin? Body battery, resting heart rate, steps.
Will HRV be used to figure out your zones. For example
How will extra training be handled?say you normally do your hard workout after work but sometimes want something easy in the morning. How will TR know when you start it in the morning that youāre asking for something extra and not try to replace the hard workout?
Will heat and other climate issues be taken into account
I know is subjective⦠but wo in the hot and humid garage in Florida vs working out in a cold northern basement in the winter is VERY different.
