🎉 🎉 🎉 Introducing Adaptive Training! 🎉 🎉 🎉

  • Yes.

One point to mention if you haven’t seen it. You MUST be using a plan created using Plan Builder to get any adaptions. Manually added plans (ad hoc) are not supported at this time.

Great, thanks. Yes using plan builder.

Also how do I tell AT about a planned holiday or similar…I remember people discussing this I think!

Add an Annotation on your Calendar with the date range, and any of the 3 options on the right (all but Notes) lead to Plan changes.

Just a note to say that the last four of my sessions are showing as “Missing Response” on the website, but I definitely put them in on the app (and gave time to sync).

Are you on the latest beta version? At least for me, the latest beta fixed the sync delay problem which is what caused the missing response.

Sync delay: prior to the recent (maybe 2 ago) beta, the only reliable way I had to get the TR Mac app to sync the survey response was to quit the app, and the re-launch it. If I didn’t do this, then I had to leave the app open for anywhere from a couple of minutes to over 15 minutes before the survey response would show up online.

I have struggled today in my Forum searching nearly as much as i struggled in my workout. Both failures…

Does anyone have the link to the guide to correctly answering the Struggle Survey that I think @IvyAudrain posted at some point?

I had no legs today, failed an Achievable workout, and selected Fatigue as the reason, but that might not be right as it did not trigger any adaptions

i am in contact with support, atm it looks like all Desktop Apps have sync probs (beta and production on MacOS and WIN), for example, when i set a running workout to finish, i have to start the App, try a sync on calendar, nothing happens, when i close and start the app again, the calendar is synced correctly with the finished run workout, same thing for workout associations and so

Thanks, but I’m after the one regarding responses to the Strggle survey. I’ll keep looking.

Survey for outside unstructured rides on web is not loading.

When I click into “update survey response” it just gives me a spinning thingy and no options load.

If you inform the machine that the reason you failed a workout was that you were tired - presumably implying you could’ve completed it if not tired - then it seems reasonable (sensible) to me that your PL for that energy system/training zone shouldn’t really be adjusted downwards, and thus future workouts in that system probably don’t require adaptations.

Clearly, I don’t know if that’s what actually happened, but that behaviour would seem reasonable to me.

If, come my next workout, I knew I was still carrying too much fatigue making a failure nailed-on, I’d consider either selecting an easier Alternate at a lower Difficulty Level, or if really knackered choose perhaps a recovery workout or take the day off.

Same for me

Apologies of this has been answered before but it’s a monster thread.

When do I need to retest ftp (if at all)?

After 8 weeks or so I feel like my fitness has increased. I am at 7.6 vo2 and finding workouts easy enough.

Does at prompt a test or do I just do one when I feel it’s needed?

Do one when it appears in your plan. If you are keen (weirdo!) then sub out one workout in the week following a recovery week.

TR have said that the ultimate aim for AT is for you to not need to do an FTP test but that’s probably some way off.

Never keen on ftp tests as they make me cry.

Weirdly I don’t have any scheduled tests in my calendar. I will add one for next week as I am on a recovery week atm. Thanks for the reply.

Are you in Specialty? That block generally doesn’t have ramp tests in it from what I’ve experienced.

Same here. Had the problem last evening; completed the survey, then went in to change my response and spinning wheel. This morning survey still is not loading.

On a positive note, last evening’s PL increase was only showing on the web career page last night, not on calendar or workout card. This morning it’s showing on all three :+1: :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I have submitted the below to support, posting here because I’m curious if anyone else is experiencing this

Completed a workout on the windows application this morning and was not prompted with a survey upon completion.

No big deal, closed the app, went over to the web browser to add a response and it showed up as ‘Cut short’. To be clear - the workout was not cut short, and was completed in its entirety

I clicked the survey response in an attempt to update to the correct response, but no survey comes up. When I click other recent rides I am able to modify the survey response for them, but for this ride I am unable to get the survey to pop-up

Will see what support says - but am interested to know if its a one-off with this ride or something that others are experiencing

The other issue I noted was that I did not get the struggle popup this morning when I answered the survey. I wasn’t sure I struggled so didn’t think much of it. Later checked and saw it was “missing response.” Answered the survey at that time and got the struggle survey. So something is definitely wrong. I’m running windows version and it updates automatically.

That’ll be it!

cheers.
