I have a Wahoo Kickr. Every time I calibrate on the Wahoo I get this inconsistent power issue. I have reached out to Trainer Road and Wahoo for solutions. Nothing has helped. I have done all the recommended resets etc. It seems to fix itself over a few days. Any ideas? Thank you.
What do you mean by ‘inconsistent power’? I mean, I see that the power line is up and down, but without more context we can’t tell is this is 2 watts, or 200 watts. Power, in general, is not exactly smooth, unless you have the ‘power smoothing’ setting turned on (in which case power still isn’t smooth, but the graph tries to trick you into thinking it is).
I’ve never see the 2 watt watt change NigeTufnel11 suggested. My power is steady i.e a smooth line for all of my rides. When I calibrate the wahoo I get this up and down that makes riding at this % of FTP exhausting. When I calibrate through trainer road this never happens.
I’m not referring to the ride, I’m referring to the small area you circled in your original post. That looks reallly zoomed in, so it’s not possible for us to understand what that variation is (but it’s definitely not between 100 and 235 watts).
If the power graph is/was smooth, it just means there is some smoothing involved. The power graph without any smoothing should look like the one above.
