Putting this as feature request, but if anyone aware of an existing way to ignore existing events when creating a new custom plan for another ,earlier event, please let me know.
To be more specific: I’d like to plan my training for an A event in May. My calendar also already contains another A and a B event in August/September due to me planning the full year. When opening the plan creator in the WebUI, all three events are listed and it won’t let me create a new plan without deleting the later A event. And the plan will go all the way until autumn. The only way around this would be to delete both later events, which seems like an unnecessary hassle, especially for folks with even more events.
As I don’t want to run a plan for all summer (won’t be able to stick to it) and don’t want to delete later events, could we get an option to set a dedicated end date for event plans - or an option to ignore events for the plan generation?
I don’t know why TR got rid of the ability of having two A events in a year. Makes no sense why they scrapped it. You used to be able to input both A events and it would create a plan for the year, but now you have to create a plan for the first A, and then have nothing beyond that A event. It’s been one of the most frustrating changes they’ve made and I don’t see any workaround currently.
My events are like yours, I have a big A event in late September, and also an earlier one end of April. My current plans ends after the April A event.
Edit: Nvm, I just rechecked. It made me change the September event to a B event. It wouldn’t allow me to have two A events. My plan goes through the September B event though. I’m assuming it’s geared towards that event but I don’t know since it wouldn’t let me call it an A event.
I worked around it for now by deleting both later events, creating the plan and then adding the events again while declining to extend the existing plan to them. But I don’t see why there can’t be an easier solution to this. It seems perfectly reasonable to have plans dedicated to single events while having some time in-between to be a normal human being. Granted, I would be fitter and have a higher FTP with a full-season plan, but that’s only if one‘s actually able to stick to it (physically, mentally and timewise)
