I could not get TR to work with ant+ so that I could use the zwift app on apple tv while doing workouts. Erg mode didn’t work. I tried everything, no luck. Chatted with support, (shout out to Maddy!), and the last suggestion was to try toss the app and reinstall. Which worked!
I’m only posting this because I almost gave up getting this combination of tech working again. I was sure it was some sort of bluetooth /ant+ software problem, and all I had to do was clean house a bit. Spent a lot of time staring at blank space needlessly.
So this is a kind of PSA ; if you have a newish mac (M1 chip) you may have cruft left from the days of intel and using the Find Any File app I found tons. After deleting the program, and the cruft, erg mode works fine with ant+ and Zwift runs simultaneously without problems.
Hmmmm…interesting.
The issue I encounter occasionally is when running both (Zwift on ATV and TR on a PC with ANT+) and then using the Companion app to add more BT devices. If I do that, I lose ERG mode in TR and it basically runs like Resistance. But if I run Zwift using the native BT connection through ATV, I have no problems (but can’t connect my Play controllers).
Maybe I’ll try deleting and reinstalling TR on the laptop just for grins and giggles.
That’s getting rather technical for me. I hope that when they release the TR with Zwift workout option, that they include a few guides on how to do it with different devices.
Similar frustrations here to find a combination of ant & BT to get TR and Zwift to work together.
Regarding the announcement late last year on Zwift regarding partners being able to push workouts to Zwift, I was surprised that it was Xert and not TR. But on reflection, also not surprising.
