twin peaks -2
during first set it said 1 minute left (2 remaining intervals), this flagged at 1 minute 30 seconds left (3 remaining intervals).
on a side note to this, I always thought that the discrepancies may relate to original workouts being cut shorter to fit the time frame selected by some automated algorithm, is that not correct? if not Iāll remember to flag more as Iāve seen a few.
I replaced āRobionā with āHang Shenā and in my career tab, it looks like the workout levels have not changed to the easier workout. I originally thought it was description typo, because it was describing it as 96-117% but the interval went up to 122%. Loading from the career tab results in the robion-difficulty percentages.
Please report to support@trainerroad.com, this is the spot to post typos in the in-ride text or workout descriptions, but your example could be an AT bug for the team to look into.
Townsend about 19-20min there was a line about anaerobic vs aerobic power systems where āthatā was used instead of āthanā. Super vague, but forgot to make note while riding.
Taylor, about 20 minutes in, at the end of the first set, the text is off by one. It says only 2 more but there are really 3 more. Only 1 more, but there are really two more. Now you can rest, but thereās really one more set.
Jepson -5 twice mentions āsmart trainer ergo modeā
This really should be āerg modeā unless the smart trainer in question is really very, very smart, has become self-aware and understands the phrase āCogito ergo sumā
If you donāt hear from me again Iāll have been silenced by a rogue AI, or the Turing police, or the Latin police.
TrainerRoad constantly makes an error with the phrase āless wattsā. This applies to TrainerRoad workout texts, the podcast, emails, etc. (But itās also an error you see every day elsewhere. Itās a common error seen in English)
Incorrect: āTo recover, put out less watts.ā
Correct: āTo recover, put out fewer watts.ā
Correct: āTo recover, put out less power.ā
āPowerā is a noncount noun, and a āwattā is a count noun. Less is used with noncount nouns, fewer with count nouns. More works with both.
A ācount nounā is a noun that can be counted (ie. with a number). It can also be singular or plural, and it can be used with a singular or plural verb. A ānoncount nounā cannot be counted, cannot be plural, and cannot be used with a plural verb. (source: Britannica)
Things you can count, like chairs, are count nouns.
āI have three chairs, you have four chairs. I have fewer chairs.ā
Things you canāt count, like furniture, are noncount nouns (You canāt say āI have three furnitures.ā)
āI have have three chairs, you have four chairs. I have less furniture.ā
Not sure whether these descriptions are correct: Had Pecos and upgraded to Scarr today. Both are Sweetspot and based in 4x11mins a=44mins at SS. but the text says
āScarr totals just under 60 minutes of Tempo intervals spent between 84-89% FTP with intermittent, 4-minute recoveries at 55% FTP.ā
Socata is similar. 44 mins, but says just under 60min.
I wish there was some place we could see the text outside of a ride. I keep seeing something but by the time Iām off the bike my age challenged brain has forgotten what it exactly was and Iām not quick enough to screen shot it. I realise IP issues would probably prevent you making the text public though.
